EARTHLING SOCIETY Was formed in JAN 2004. Inspired by CAN/FUNKADELIC/ASH RA TEMPEL/13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS/AMON DUUL2 AND SYD BARRETT, E-SOCIETY Set out building a small recording studiowith the intention of recording Lo-Fi kraut-angst acid epics. Lyrically inspired by WILLIAM BLAKE, PHILIP K. DICK, GUSTAV MEYRINK and ARTHUR MACHEN, E-S recorded their 7-track debut 'ALBION' for their sole satisfaction but the album started to garner further interest. Championed by arch-druid JULIAN COPE in their early days, E-S have now released 4 albums to critical acclaim in the underground press. E-S continue to release their own unique vision without compromise or following current fads .. ..
Earthling Society recently took the rock road down to London to have their 5th studio album 'Stations of the Ghost' sonically enhanced.
The brilliant Nick Robbins of Sound mastering / Ace records who engineered on classic albums by the Pogues and mastered the recent re-releases by The Move and all manner of re-issues through Ace/Big beat has done a wonderful job at bringing the new album to life.
It really does sound like no other E-S album and we can proudly say it's our best album to date.
'Stations of the ghost' feature 7 tracks of Epic psychedelic rock that mixes Dark Black widow prog, Autumnal bucollic folk, Doctors of Madness ballad-esque glam and Stoner/drone rock.
Taking in themes of weird cosmic horror inspired by our literary hero Arthur Machen and the tales that surround the witch country that is our home county of Lankyshire.
You can check out two of the tracks 'The Last Hurrah' and 'The Halloween tree' at our mp3 page.
The album will be released on 4Zero records in May of this year.
